The Application Process
Acceptance into the Intern Experience will be determined by your application portfolio, references, and an interview. Three factors contribute in determining whether it is the right time for you to be an intern at Lakemount Worship Centre:
We want to know that the spiritual authorities in your life (parents, pastors, and leaders) all agree that this is the right training environment for you at this time.
Spiritual maturity and preparedness are key factors in determining entrance into this program. In order to be considered for acceptance you must have been committed to a local church for 6 months.
You must demonstrate financial stability in order to become an intern. Interns are not permitted to work full time jobs. Interns may work part time (around 20 hours per week) as long as it does not interfere with the Intern Experience schedule.
The cost of the Internship is $1699 + Global University Fees (approx. $475 per course x 2)
If you are taking full time Bible College courses online you are eligible for a further discount. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Once accepted you will be asked for a $250 deposit to confirm your spot. This deposit is due by August 15th, 2016. The balance remaining ($1650) must be paid by April 15th, 2017. A valid credit card will be required and kept on file. We will set a payment schedule for your fees and charge the credit card accordingly, unless you provide another form of payment by the required deadline. If you pay for your tuition in full at the start of the year, you will receive a 5% discount.
Interns will enroll online with Global University and complete two course over the internship.
Global University holds full member accreditation status with the Higher Learning Commission. This organization serves approximately 1,000 affiliated institutions of higher education. Many of these are respected colleges and universities such as The University of Chicago and The University of Notre Dame. There are also many excellent Christian colleges and seminaries including Wheaton College and Trinity International University (formerly Trinity Evangelical Divinity School). This means that your Global University degree will be worth the time and effort you put into it. It is also important in terms of transferring credits.*
Once the internship is completed, you will be able to carry on your studies with Global University in order to obtain a Licensed Minister Credential or a Recognition of Ministry Credential with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.
Please complete each part of the application below and submit along with a current police check.
Once all the application components are in, an interview will be scheduled with one of the intern staff members. You will find out your acceptance during the interview, or within a week after.
